Simple Defensive Strategies

Hi everybody,  for today's post I wanted to share some defensive tips & strategies that are very simple.  Where you can use immediately on your base.  Now this game is offensively biased, since higher level players can drop trophies to bully on weaker smaller opponents.  With that being said, here are a couple of tips I've noticed that have helped me defensively.

Lets first start with the builders hut.  A lot of players love to place the builders huts in the corners to prevent their base from getting 3 starred.  This is a decent defense strategy, but for veteran players who farm, you're giving away free buildings.  Now I've noticed that the area of the screen that's difficult to see is the bottom corner.  This area is THE PERFECT location to place a builders hut.  I myself have missed this during the rush of battle.  Here's some pictures from my base to illustrate.

This screen shows what an attacker immediately sees:

This picture shows where the builders hut is:

Now the reason why this bottom corner is the perfect location to place the builders hut is that the attacker has to spend precious time to zoom out and scroll down which some players will forget.  Also on the attackers screen there's going to be the row of images of his troops which can make the hut more difficult to see.  You have to actively look for it.  This simple tip here will help your base get 3 starred less assuming your base can slow down strong attackers and make the timer run out.

Now the 2nd tip I wanted to share is the funneling strategy.  This is where you can dictate where you want enemy troops to go and attack.  Thus setting their army up for a quick death with traps and your buildings.  I noticed that attackers will try to avoid areas of the walls that have openings since they sense traps will be waiting for their troops.  However you can make a small opening and HIDE IT from view with an archer tower and an elixir pump.  Let me show you.

Picture of the base again.  Can you spot the openings in my walls?

Now here's the picture with the archer tower out of the way.

I also placed another hidden opening in the wall at the very bottom corner of the base where the wizard tower is being upgraded.  The elixir pump is hiding the opening there as well.  So this little tip of hiding the holes in the walls opens up a lot of defensive opportunities for trap placements.  You could put bombs and spring boards there and the other player can easily have their giants and other troops be funneled to them and they wont even see it coming.

Well hope this helps you guys.  Until the next post. Peace

Another way to earn free gems

Hi fellow clanners. Today I was asked by a clan mate to look into the legitimacy of appbounty.net.

This app/website has been advertised a lot on the internet for earning fee gems. This is how the program works:

You go to the app store on your apple or android device and download appbounty. The app then displays a full list of apps you can download for free to earn points.  The average amount of points for the apps ranges anywhere from 10 points all the way up to over a 100.  One needs to accumulate about 5000 points to earn about a $10 payout for itunes or google play.  When you do the math, it roughly equates to downloading 100 apps to get 5000 points.

I tried appbounty for about a week and a half now and I'm currently at 982 points.  So yes, you can get free gems by using appbounty by winning store credit on itunes or google play.  In my opinion it's not the most efficient way.  Still it works and for those interested in trying it, you can get a free 50 points right away by using the invite code: "pmuhpga" after you've downloaded the app.  Hope this helps, and have fun playing out there! Hopefully with more gems!

Easy Way To Earn Free Gems

Hi everyone.

For today's, post, I wanted to address a legitimate way to get free gems in Clash of Clans without using any hacks. I notice there's a lot of garbage information out there about hacks, or downloading app bounty and getting itunes or google play credit after downloading a 100 apps and turning them on.  I have a better and quicker solution.

I personally do online surveys that takes about a few min each.  The best one is https://www.pineconeresearch.com/Signup/Signup_Form.aspx

Sign up for free to take surveys from them.  I believe it's US residents only, but I'm not 100 percent sure.  Each survey you complete, you can redeem for $3 in paypal.  Very nice deal.  So after a couple of surveys you can get $6 into your paypal account and use that to buy gems.  Here is a picture of my rewards history from them.

As you can see I average about 3 completed surveys a month for $9 bucks total.  Not a bad haul to buy gems with.

Another alternative but slower is signing up for www.valuedopinions.com
They payout ranges anywhere from $1-$3 per survey on average.  I have seen occasionally higher payouts.  When you accumulate $20 total you can redeem for $20 itunes gift card.  This one will probably take a little bit less than a month to get $20 but its still good.

So there you have it folks.  Two good, legitimate ways to earn free money and credit to buy gems on Clash of Clans.  I have other survey company's I can recommend too, email me if interested.  Have fun playing out there with your new gems!

A Problem Every Player Faces When They Join A Clan

Hi everyone,

hope you're having a great Friday.  Today I want to address a problem that every player in Clash of Clans faces when they join a clan.  The dreaded donation ratio.  If you have joined a clan, the general rule of most clans is that you should donate just as much if not more than what you request in troops.  If you don't, you run  the risk of getting booted.  This obviously puts fears in every player.

However there's a couple of simple solutions to help with this general problem.  One player in my clan actively checks a fellow clan mates castle when they're on.  If the castle is empty he asks if they want troops. Yep guys its that simple.

Another great strategy to get the donation ratio up is that when someone does request troops, donate them giants, unless of course they're saying they don't want giants.  The great thing about donating giants is that they allow you to donate more than say 5 archers or 5 barbarians at a time.  Which is the general limit you can donate in a single instance with those types of troops.  Giants however are allowed to be donated more than once in the game during a single request.  And each one donated counts for 5 a piece.  Nice.

Finally, combining these two tips above, it's best if you have a clan buddy where you and them can coordinate requests and donations between each other.  So if you know you're gonna be playing a good bit and your buddy's on, you two should just request and donate giants to one another, that way your donation ratio will always be good.

Well I hope this helps.  If there's anything else you want more information on, email me.  Feedback's always appreciated.  I"m going to be starting a facebook and twitter account for this website so look for that in the future.  Have fun raiding out there..

Farming

For today's post, I wanted to discuss one of the important aspects of CoC, Farming.

The game gets pretty expensive resource wise as you progress.  With upgrading of walls, troops, and buildings, you can burn through your gold and elixir quickly.  To offset this problem, the solution is farming.

I learned that the game is like investing.  A good farming army usually runs depending on level of your troops from 16k and up.  For me currently, I'm at TH 6, my farming army of giants, goblins, wall breakers, and archers run about 20k in elixir.  Add on another 16k if i decide to use a spell.  Now with this initial investment in elixir, I only attack bases that give me at least 100k combined in gold and elixir resources.

The mistake many players make is that they attack any base without regards to investment and reward.  If my army costs me 25k in elixir, why would I attack a  base that only pays out 20k combined in gold and elixir.  When you look at the game from this perspective of investing, you will quickly become a better player with a better base because you have more resources now collected.

For a video of where I learned all this, click here.  Patrick the maker of the video teaches everyone great strategies for farming.  Until the next post, have fun playing the game everyone.
